    Linguistic Analysis of Media Discourse Research Group is made up of linguists with backgrounds in pragmatics, discourse analysis, text linguistics, social semiotics, discursive psychology and ecolinguisticsTheir research interests include issues related to the language of traditional media (the press, radio and television) and new media. The subject of their exploration are, for example,  specificity of media genres, media’s impact on language, aspects of identity and femininity, character idiolects and narratives. The groupaim is to observe new linguistic phenomenathus addressing the current problems of contemporary linguistics.
